The Met Gala came back this year on the first Monday in May, which felt so soon. This year's theme, Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, highlighted the legacy of an iconic designer. Lagerfeld held down the helm of various fashion brands such as Fendi, Chanel, and his own line. He also raised funds for the Met's Costume Institute.
