A phone call between Tory Lanez and Kelsey Harris, a video of Megan Thee Stallion in an ambulance, and photos of Harris have surfaced for social media to pick apart.
As 2022 came to an end, evidence originally shown in court during Tory Lanez’s trial was leaked to the Internet.
On December 29, Street TV released an almost five-minute long phone conversation between Kelsey Harris and Tory Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, to its YouTube channel. Peterson admits to being drunk the night of the shooting, while continuously asking Harris which hospital she’s at.
“I know she’s probably never, ever, ever gonna talk to me ever again,” Peterson said to Harris, referring to Megan Thee Stallion, real name Megan Pete. “I just want you to know…I was just so f—king drunk…I didn’t even know what the f–ck was going on… Regardless, that’s not gonna make anything right. That’s not gonna make my actions right. I’m just deeply sorry.”
Peterson explained that once he arrived at Kylie Jenner’s party, people gave him five shots, and Harris chimes in saying that she was already drunk by the time Peterson arrived. Peterson then wonders if Harris has his security’s phone number and he asks for help on his bail.
They end the call speaking about the potential backlash and how the story has probably gotten out. Peterson went out to say that he will be the one to catch heat for the entire situation.
As the audio of that phone call hit the internet, audio of Pete crying in the ambulance was also leaked. YouTuber Nique At Nite posted the audio on her channel as well as the phone call audio.
Meghann Cuniff, one of the reporters in the courtroom during the trial, confirms the validity of the audio clips. Cuniff, a senior reporter for Law & Crime, noted that Nique At Nite was also at the trial, and she admired the YouTuber’s resourcefulness.
Nique At Nite also has videos discussing audio of Peterson shooting — you can hear the gunshot. The defense made it seem as if there was a struggle, that Harris shot the gun first and then Lanez shot the gun. According to Nique At Nite, a gun expert testified during the trial that the gun was a special gun and that it needed 8.5 pounds of pressure to shoot it. The audio doesn’t feature the argument between Pete and Harris as the audio comes from someone’s Ring footage.
Not only did the audio of the shooting come out, body cam footage of Pete in the ambulance and the actual arrest came from Nique At Nite’s video series.
Following the release of the audio and video clips, Street TV posted yet another explosive piece of evidence in the case. The YouTube channel posted to its Instagram photos of Harris’ alleged injuries from the night of the shooting.
Nique At Nite also posted the photos of Harris’ injuries, but she included other photos of evidence from that night. Part of the slideshow of photos includes photos of inside the car after the shooting as well as x-rays of Pete’s foot. The slideshow features photos of Peterson and Jaquan Smith, the driver of the car, at what seems to be a police station.
Peterson was found guilty of shooting Pete in both of her feet following an argument. The Canadian rapper was convicted of three felony counts: assault with a semiautomatic handgun, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He faces more than two decades behind bars and he could be deported.
His sentencing has been scheduled for January 27.
